Entry fee is per boat/team $100 deposit -$425 cash due day of arrival
All teams will have one room at The Aspinwall Motel which is a quarter mile from the Henderson Harbor boat launch for Friday May 3rd and Saturday May 4th. You may add a room for Thursday or Sunday for an additional fee. We'll get together Friday at 5:30 pm to issue bump boards and go over rules. There will be a food truck on-site. The tournament will start Saturday morning. Boats can be in the water at 6:00 AM and may precede to their starting spot however no fish can be entered until 6:30 AM . The tournament will finish on Sunday May 5th. 11:00 AM. Night Fishing is Permitted. US waters only. Anglers must record their fish with the official bump board as well as the FishDonkey app. $525 per team $340 for locals who don't need rooms. 1. Tournament Director
1.1 By registering for this tournament, all participants agree that they are executing an agreement to abide by all tournament rules. The interpretation and enforcement of the rules is at the sole discretion of the tournament director. The tournament director may change rules or impose sanctions as they deem appropriate; including, but not limited to: disqualification, forfeiture of prizes, and prohibition from competing in future tournaments. All decisions made by the tournament director are final.
2. Tournament Format and Eligibility
2.1 Participation is open to anglers of all ages holding a valid NYS Fishing License.
2.2 The Clash At The Crescent Walleye tournaments are Catch, Record, Release (CRR) using the FishDonkey App. Fish are entered based on length, using the FishDonkey app.
2.3 All fish must be hooked and caught live in a conventional sporting method. Fish cannot be snagged, netted, or speared. Any fish displaying evidence of poor health can be disqualified.
2.4 All entries must be submitted using the FishDonkey App and an assigned measuring device.
2.5 The Clash at The Crescent will begin on Saturday May 4th at 6:30 am EST and will end on Sunday May 5th at 11:00 am EST. Night fishing is permitted.
2.6 Prizes will be awarded for the THREE (3) longest walleye by length and single longest Walleye by length.
2.7 The Prize pool will be guaranteed ($5,000) by Chaumont Masters.
2.8 Anyone NOT staying at the Aspinwall Motel must have their live well checked the morning of the tournament at the Motel.
2.9 All fish must be caught, recorded, and submitted prior to deadlines in order to qualify.
2.10 Entry tickets are issued to boats there is no minimum or maximum amount of people.
2.11 NINE (9) lines max per boat.
2.12 Disqualification from the tournament, for any reason, will result in the forfeiture of entry fees.
2.13 There will be no refunds or credits extended as a result of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. We may extend Sunday until 4:30 pm if weather plays a factor.
2.14 You may not be in the close vicinity of any other boat during tournament time. Unless of emergency DO NOT go by any other boats as it can result in a disqualification.
2.15 You and your team may be subject to a lie detector test after the tournament and up until 3 months past.
3. Tournament and Launch Boundaries
3.1 All fish must be caught on US wasters of Lake Ontario and/or the St Lawrence River no farther east than the Thousand islands bridge.
3.2 For the purposes of the tournament, the Lake Ontario is defined as:
3.2.1 Any waters navigable by boat via Lake Ontario.
3.3 For the purpose of the tournament, The St. Lawrence River is defined as:
3.3.1 Any waters navigable by boat via the St. Lawrence River no further than the Thousand islands Bridge.
3.4 You may use any launch from Henderson Harbor to the Cape Vincent town Launch.
4. Entering Fish
4.1 Fish should be immediately recorded for submission as soon as they are caught. All submissions must include:
4.1.1 at least one photograph of the participant holding the fish (the tournament director must be able to clearly identify the participant for entry verification purposes)
4.1.2 at least one photograph of the fish on an approved measuring board (the tournament director must be able to clearly read the graduation lines and see the entire fish on the board)
4.1.3 at least one video capturing the successful release of the fish.
4.2 All photographs must be taken using the FishDonkey app and measurements must be clearly visible on an approved measuring board.
4.3 To measure the fish:
4.3.1 Place the approved measuring board in front of you;
4.3.2 Place the fish on the measuring board with the belly facing you;
4.3.3 Close the fish’s mouth;
4.3.4 Touch the tip (nose) of the fish to the bump board side of the measuring board;
4.3.5 The fish’s tail may be pinched to maximize the length;
4.3.6 Take the photo in a horizontal position, so that both the fish’s nose (which is touching the board), and the tail (which is indicating length), are clearly depicted; and
4.3.7 Record the length of the fish: THE TAIL MUST BREAK THE QUARTER INCH LINE TO CALL IT THAT. NO ROUNDING UP. IF THE LINE IS NOT BROKEN ITS THE QUARTER INCH THAT IT BROKE BELOW IT.
4.3.8 A penalty of -0.25 inches (¼) could be applied on a fish measured with an open mouth.
4.4 The tournament director reserves the right to correct measurements during the verification of the entry.
